How do I review and customize my translated website prior to going live?
Overview
Though you can go live with your translated website in as little as 15 minutes if required, most Bablic users want to review and QA the translated experiences first. On Bablic, you can preview and customize your translated website privately without impacting the experience of your users. This allows you to validate the experience, make any necessary customizations, and QA your project end-to-end prior to launch. Any customizations made during this review period will be reflected on your translated website when you decide to go live.
Reviewing your website
To see your translated website on Bablic, you will first need to create an account.
Once your account is created, there are two ways to privately review your translated website prior to launch.
- Via Private Mode.
- To see your translated website in Private Mode, you will first need to install your Bablic script into the <head> section of your website.
- Upon installation of your script, your project will be in Private Mode by default. You can safely install your script without impacting the experience of your website visitors.
- See our Implementation Guides section for installation instructions on some of the more common CMS platforms.
- Via Bablic Studio on the Bablic Desktop App.
- For Legacy Bablic users, "Bablic Studio" is the new and improved version of the old "visual editor."
- Bablic Studio allows you to see your translated website AND make customizations in context.
- Viewing your translated website on Bablic Studio does NOT require you to install your Bablic script. Of course you will need to install your script in order to go live, but it is not necessary in order to utilize Bablic Studio.
- Bablic Studio is only available on the Bablic Desktop App. So after your create your account, we recommend installing the app. Look for the "Get Desktop App" option under your user dropdown menu in the top right corner of the browser platform, and then install for Mac or Windows.

After launching the Desktop App, you will be able to view your translated site on Bablic Studio. To get into Studio, please follow the instructions under "Launching Bablic Studio" in this article.
